Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) at Furman

Students: Don’t just learn about chemistry, learn to be a chemist! The Furman REU program is designed to not only give students a chance to work in a dynamic research environment during an intensive ten-week summer experience but to continue that research into the academic year with your favorite instructor.

Faculty: We will provide you with a stipend, laboratory space, funds for supplies and congenial colleagues that will renew your excitement in science. We invite you and a student to come and explore your own research ideas or collaborate with one of our research groups.
